Green Bean Side Dish
(my husband found a similar dish on Pinterest and we adapted it!)

Directions:

Slice 1/2 to 1 whole white onion, this really depends on your preference for onions.

Saute in butter (about 2 Tbsp.) with garlic (a couple of chopped cloves) until carmelized.

Remove onions from pan and put in 1/2 of a packet of chicken stock.

Add about a 1/2 to 1 cup water to deglaze the pan and give the green beans something to cook in.

Next, put in the green beans, we used raw beans, but next time I would steam them first to hurry along the cooking process.

Add more butter and let the green beans cook until tender.

Add the onions back to the pan and reheat.

This side dish is quick and simple and really tasty and favorful!  We used to as a side dish for oven barbeque chicken, corn, and mac & cheese!
